Welcome to
ew Tree Chapel was hands on conversion by us which was completed in 2004
In 2005 the North Pennines Aera of Outstanding Natural Beauty gave us a
Conservation Award. We have been in the TV programmes “Property
Matters and “Cumbrian Gardens.
“Slaggyford” means Muddy Ford. The burn where the ford used to be is within easy
Walking distance, as is the South Tyne.., both of which can be fished . The otters and
herons already do so !. Our front gate is right on The Pennine Way. It’s a long distance path which is also used by
walkers doing Lands End to John o Groats. Just 25 mins away is Hadrians Wall with its forts and milecastles..
