This is a special place to visit and is in a tranquil village setting within an AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY. We are right on THE PENNINE WAY and PENNINE CYCLEWAY. We are DOG FRIENDLY and BIKE FRIENDLY too.  Nearby we have HADRIAN'S WALL Ashgill Falls, Beamish, and the wonderful gardens of Belsay, Wallington, Station Garden  and Lowther. There is also Little Sakeld Water Mill and various studios and potteries.  You can fish on the nearby South Tyne, get up early to see deer in the woods or keep your eyes open for the Woodpeckers, Buzzards, Lapwings and Curlews.  Nearest towns are: Alston, Haltwhistle,and Brampton . 

Mary will do meals if you arrive on foot or cycle. 3mins away we reccomend Kirkstlye Inn and 6 mins away Alston House.
